How to build a test laboratory

Three months of planning, purchasing and construction ...

Finally, after long days and nights of sawing, grinding, drilling, building: Voila.

And just in time came the cylinder:

10 Monate sind vergangen ...

... seit dem letzten Post.
Viel ist in der Zwischenzeit gewesen.
1. Ich habe zahlreiche Seil- und Gurttests durchgeführt, die allesamt meine Ergebnisse bestätigten. Viele Leute (Danke dafür!) haben mir Teile geschickt.
Bisher konnte ich den "Schwarzen Schwan", also den unerklärbaren Ausreißer nach unten, nicht finden: Trotz intensiver Recherche fand ich bisher kein Seil und keinen Gurt, die im gewöhnlichen Gebrauch, nur durch zeitliche Alterung, versagt hätten. Das gilt natürlich ohne Verschleiß, Scharfkanten/Zerstörung, Chemie, Schmelzen.

2. Ich habe Artikel geschrieben, Vorträge gehalten ...
 
3. Ich habe begonnen, mein Labor für "die Öffentlichkeit" zu verwenden.

Da mir das Forschen nach wie vor viel Freude bereitet und mir das Thema Nachhaltigkeit zunehmend wichtiger wird, habe ich einen Verein gegründet:

Zur Zeit baue ich mein Labor um:

1. Ich baue einen 20-Tonnen-Prüfstand, damit ich Stahlseile und Komponenten testen kann
2. Ich baue den Topropesimulator nach meinen Erkenntnissen um.
